How to play
Choose three cards such as 3, 5 and 7. Discard them and draw new cards. Keep going while you can make another set.
- Your goal is to use up the draw deck. You start with eight cards in your hand. Each turn, pick three cards that make a “sandwich”, then press Make sandwich.
- A sandwich is three card values with the same jump between them. For example, 3–4–5 goes up by 1 each time, and A–3–5 goes up by 2. Three of the same value, such as 8–8–8, also works. Suits do not affect whether a sandwich is valid. You can click the cards in any order.
- Count Ace as 1, Jack as 11, Queen as 12, and King as 13. Counting wraps around after King back to Ace. For example, Q–K–A goes up by 1 each time. Another example is 8–Q–3: count forward four places from 8 to Q, then four more from Q, past K and A, to 3.
- When you make a sandwich, those three cards leave your hand and you draw replacements automatically. All three in the same suit? Draw up to 4. All red or all black, but with mixed suits? Draw up to 3. A mix of red and black? Draw up to 2. You can never hold more than eight cards, so any extra cards stay in the deck.
- Stuck spotting a match? Press Show hint. The first hint for your current hand costs 1 point, down to a minimum score of 0. Repeating the hint is free until you make a sandwich and the hand changes. It selects a valid set of three without playing it or using a turn. Press Make sandwich to play those cards, or choose different cards yourself.
- Start at 0 points. Each sandwich earns 3 points for the cards you discard, plus 1 point for each new card that actually enters your hand. For example, discard 3 and draw 2 to earn 5 points. Cards that do not fit in your hand earn nothing; the initial eight cards earn nothing either. When the draw deck is empty, keep playing the sandwiches left in your hand for 3 points each. The deal ends when no sandwich is possible. There are no defeats: your points are saved. If the deck is also empty at the end, congratulations — you have reached the goal! Higher scores are better. You can inspect the discard pile at any time.
Before your first deal
- The first hint for the current hand costs 1 point, down to a minimum score of 0; repeats are free until you play a sandwich. It shows a valid order around the A–K circle; clicking the same cards in a different order is still allowed.
- The eight-card hand limit can reduce a same-suit draw, so count free spaces when planning your next sandwich.
