SOLITAIRE · 03 / 3 · GUESSING SUITS
Hide and Seek
Guess the suits of twelve hidden cards.
Preparing your table…
The goal
Twelve face-down cards stand in three rows. Place a guess at the end of a row or column, then reveal a hidden card. Guesses on that line score if their suit matches. You need at least twenty points by the time all twelve cards are revealed.

How to play
Place guesses around twelve hidden cards, then reveal them one at a time. Each guess of the right suit earns a point. Try to score twenty.
- Twelve hidden face cards form a 3 × 4 playground. Every column has one jack, one queen, and one king, all of different suits. The A–10 deck is face up, with only its top visible.
- Place the top card as a guess in any of fourteen empty perimeter spaces: two ends of each row and column.
- Reveal any hidden playmate. Every guess on either end of its row or column matching its suit goes to your score pile. Wrong guesses stay. Up to four guesses can score per reveal.
- To remove a guess, tap an already placed guess of the SAME SUIT as the visible top draw card. Both that guess and the top draw card go to the discard pile, freeing the edge space. No mode switch is needed. A different suit, or an empty deck, cannot pay for removal.
- The game ends when all twelve playmates are revealed. Win with at least twenty scored cards. With an empty deck, keep revealing the remaining playmates.
Before your first deal
- Use revealed friends to narrow down the suits still possible in their column.
- A single reveal can score guesses from both ends of its row and column, so prepare several compatible guesses first.
